I Am Superwoman

In my last post I wrote “Learn to ask for help. You’re not superwoman.” Yes, ask for help when you need it. Superwoman had Superman right?

But I’ve been thinking….I am Superwoman. All Mama’s are. I grew a human in my belly and then birthed it into existence. Ya, ya I needed, like a drop from Superman and I technically couldn’t have done it with out him but….I Am Superwoman.

I have the baby…really take the time to think about that….woah.

I get up throughout the night to feed baby

–>No nap during the day

I bathe baby

I feed baby

I pump food for the baby out of my body

I change baby

I work out

I clean the kitchen (multiple times through out the day)

I do the laundry

I clean the living room

I clean the bedroom

I clean the bathroom

I meditate

I take babe to his doctor appointments

I maintain sanity (usually)

I stay cute for superman

I water the plants

I give baby his meds

I play tummy time with baby

I support Superman and all his endeavors

I keep the spark in our relationship

I get the groceries

I keep Superman smiling, laughing, and interested

I stay on my healthy diet

I read to baby

I keep all the family updated on baby

I stay home with the baby while you get out of the house

I can take care of myself while taking care of Superman and baby

I write/read/work most of the day while doing all the above

I can do all the above while recovering from a major surgery involving a gash cut in the middle of my stomach.

I can go weeks and months on hardly any sleep and still do all the above.

I am superwoman, and I love it.

I woke up like this….#flawless lol

***Disclaimer: This post in no way is a jab at Travis or his abilities as a father, or any man or father. This post is not a “man hating” post, but a “woman loving” post. This post is NOT a victimization of women….it is meant to show our power and strength and abilities. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Travis is an amazing father and helps me anytime I need it. This post is simply an anthem for women, highlighting their abilities as mothers, which are truly amazing. This post is not to take away the abilities from fathers. Writing about the things I do and mothers do, does not mean men can’t. Just sayin Mamas are the bomb and my inner Beyonce has taken over and I have to let it out. Laugh people….it’s supposed to be funny. Life isn’t that serious.
