It’s another glorious Tuesday and today I have an interview with Hazel Delgado. She and I met at the University of Nebraska in a psychology research group. Hazel was, and is still, a PhD grad student there. I was her undergrad research assistant and I helped her gather, analyze and present her data. Our trips to New Orleans and Chicago for presentations were some of the best memories of college. She was an amazing mentor and became a great friend. The research lab was like a family and we were all treated as such. I am truly grateful for the time I got to spend with all of them.
Hazel talks with us about her new research and the plans for the future. She also talks about what it’s like in the dating world for a woman who is smarter than most. Hazel’s research is about issues of race and prejudice. Her main focus right now is a study about child labor in the United States. She talks with us about some of her findings and about some current issues that are happening in our world today.
