hi dolls, I just finished writing a piece for an online magazine. They asked me to write about my experience living in the mountains etc. […]
It’s 7:44am as I am writing this. This morning the world molded around me. The moment I left the house everything I saw seemed to be there just for me.
As I pulled up to my yoga studio I saw a coffee shop next door that I had never noticed before. I thought to myself “I will have to go try some coffee there after yoga.”
I got my mat and locked my car. As I was walking to the front door of the studio I noticed on the other side was a “A Mom’s Space.” I was intrigued so I stopped at the window to see what this place was all about. It is a place for mothers to go to meet other mothers and let their kids socialize with other children. LITERALLY yesterday I was talking about wanting to find a group like this for Phoenix and I….SO COOL! Mommy friends here I come!
Finally I make my way into the studio. After getting settled the yoga instructor asked if anyone had any injuries or concerns before she started the class. No one raised their hand so I piped in and told her that yesterday was my first yoga class since having a baby and I was very sore in my arms. She told me to make sure I take care of myself, but throughout the entire class she seemed to take my soreness into account and structured the whole routine on stretching and resting the arms. I was appreciative.
After yoga I went to the coffee shop and it was beautiful inside and out. I got a perfectly made mocha and went to the bulletin board only to find about 5 different posters all related to things I love or am interested in. I took pictures of all of them….SO COOL.
Next I mosey on over to my car and head home. I took a back way home through the neighborhood and was looking at the cute little old houses and thinking about how I want my house to look one day. I decided I want a white house with a bright red door, next thing I see….A WHITE HOUSE WITH A BRIGHT RED DOOR. Seriously, I’m not making this up. I wondered how long until Trav and I can buy a house and how does one even buy a house, then I look over and there is a realty business called “Phoenix Realty.” Phoenix is the name of my son. SO COOL.
Now, I am not reading into any of this too much as signs for any type of action, I am just simply noticing how cool and magical the world around you can be if you are in the place to notice it. I am noticing and having fun with it. I hope you are too!
