Christmas

Hi loves,

Merry Christmas!

I hope you are all warm and surrounded with family and friends today.

Christmas is such a great holiday, for so many reasons. As I get older I am less and less excited about presents and more excited about family and the fun traditions we have.

Phoenix makes me so excited to start some new family traditions, something that he may not appreciate while he is young but that when he gets older. A gift he can hold on to forever, Christmas memories.

I think everyone naturally reminisces on Christmas. Remembering Christmas’s past, people who have passed and maybe traditions that have passed. In this way Christmas can be bitter sweet. It has been for me this year.

It is bitter sweet because I miss my family, my old traditions, the excitement on Christmas morning, but this year has also been so so sweet. It has been one of the sweetest Christmas’s I have had in years.

It is fun to remember, even if it brings tears, and it is fun to allow new memories form too.

(Per usual this blog post is mostly a therapy treatment for myself….I like to write, so I write. Simple as that. It helps me gather my thoughts and come to a conclusion so that I can let these thoughts go and be stored away somewhere else.)

Anyways, I hope you all slow down today and enjoy each moment, each hug, each tradition, each family member, someday these days will be memories…..so remember them well.

Merry Christmas!!

(P.S. make sure to check out my youtube channel later today! Trav, Phoenix, and I are going to be posting a little Christmas Morning Vlog)

XOXO
